What You Need To Know
The Social Media Committee is requesting support for a social media associate editor to promote NDTA-related activities on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
The associate editor will be responsible for content related to the profession, engagement and education of Neuro-Developmental Therapy; while NDTA staff will be responsible for content related to the promotion of NDTA initiatives and programming. Within these guidelines, the Social Media Associate Editor role will entail:
- $20/hr - 8-10 per week
- Open Immediately
- Work closely with NDTA management staff
- Work with the Social Media Committee to create NDTA’s social media style guide to articulate (1) the role of social media for NDTA, (2) who NDTA follows (e.g., NDTA members, organizations that serve the profession, neuro-developmental organizations), and (3) how do we engage (e.g., new content, retweeting, likes)
- Engage on Twitter and Facebook with posts, retweets, comments. Possible posts include:
- Brief soundbites for new articles from the NDTA Network magazine
- Create and post that aligns with monthly social media theme
- “Have you Read” and “Pearls of Wisdom” posts
- Awareness Days and Months as it relates to NDT
- “Retweet/repost” of relevant content from approved organizations
- “Retweet/repost” training and funding opportunities relevant to members
- “Like” NDTA-relevant content from committee, board members and instructors
- “Like” article posts from authors
- Create “stories” and “reels” on Instagram
- Create content for and curate Instagram account
- Establish IG stories and reels
- The social media associate editor will have access to Hootsuite and Canva accounts. A brief training will be provided to the social media associate editor if needed
Applicants should meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Active social media presence for two years
- MA or equivalent in a discipline with expertise in neuro-developmental therapy
- Comfort in designing post images using CANVA
Role of NDTA Staff
- NDTA staff will post about information and events relating to the association. Examples include:
- Education offerings (seminars, webinars, distance learning, certificate courses, advance courses, the conference)
- Association events (Think and Drink, Community Connections, Instagram Live)
- Information on membership to draw in members
