This Basic Self-Assessment aims to facilitate assessment of your company's sustainability practices and performance in all areas of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) - Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-corruption and the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

What is the tool about?
This tool consists of 17 questions to assess the initiatives your company has implemented in relation to embedding the UNGC's Ten Principles within its strategy and operations, as well as the efforts your company has made to support the 17 SDGs as set out in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Additionally, this learning tool enables your company to start understanding and addressing its sustainability risks and opportunities.

Who should use this tool?
This tool serves as a universal/basic sustainability checklist for your company regardless of its sector and size of operation. Typically a manager of a Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) could answer the questions. However if you are part of a large company, other functions such as Human Resources, Health and Safety, Environment, Legal, Procurement, Security, etc. may be engaged to ensure completeness and relevance of the assessment.

What does the tool tell you?
This tool provides a snapshot of your company's sustainability performance and familiarize you with sustainability expectations for your business. Also, it delivers an feedback around your company's potential contribution towards the SDGs.
