Dear Colleagues,
As you know, our 9th Annual OHCIA Conference will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
The theme of the conference is WORKING TOGETHER TO OVERCOME CHALLENGES.
We know that the challenges affecting the profession as a whole are related to supporting the
communication needs of survivors of trauma and violence abroad, responding to the rise of
artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace, and ensuring language access in the complex U.S.
health care system. Also, there are many challenges that affect our profession as health care interpreters in
Oregon and we want to learn from you.
Please take the time to complete this short survey and be open to sharing your challenges,
needs, and suggestions for improvement. Your answers are confidential.
We need to work together with our colleagues and various partners to look for ways to address.
the challenges and find solutions as a community.
