Speaker Criteria - Please Read Carefully Before Submitting a Proposal

The IA/NE, IL, MN/DAKS, WI, and HOA Chapters are partnering to present the Midwest ESOP Conference. This conference will be in person and there will not be a virtual/hybrid component. The selection of speakers will be conducted by the Midwest Planning Committee, comprised of representatives from each respective chapter.
Midwest Regional Conference September 15 - 17, 2021 Hilton Des Moines Downtown 435 Park St, Des Moines, IA 50309
Conference Goals:
Provide a variety of quality educational session topics appealing to all levels of employee-owners;
Engage new as well as repeat participants and;
Include speakers/presenters from each chapter.
Selection Criteria:
The Planning Committee prefers that breakout sessions include at least one Corporate speaker. Professionals who wish to present topics at the conference are expected to provide a Corporate co-speaker. Proposals that include confirmed Corporate speakers will be given preference by the Planning Committee. Proposals with TBD Corporate speaker will only be considered if the Professional has a consistent track record of confirming the Corporate speaker in a timely manner.
The number of speakers from the same company (corporate or professional) may be limited where necessary
An effort will be made to ensure there is a fair representation of speakers from all Chapters.
Up to 2 Corporate member speakers from the same ESOP company will receive complimentary conference registration. Professional member speakers are required to register and pay to attend the conference.
Individual submissions (i.e. single presenter) are welcome, provided a full description is included. The Planning Committee may combine speakers or add Corporate member panelists. Presenters will be notified of suggested combinations for approval.
Conference sponsorship is appreciated but will not ensure an organization or individual is selected as a speaker.
Preference will be given to Corporate and Professional members that are members of one of the sponsoring Chapters over members from other Chapters of The ESOP Association. Eligible speakers must be members of The ESOP Association.
