Award Criteria

This award celebrates an exceptional individual whose career embodies the values and spirit of the Heart of Bury Care Awards.

The winner will have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the Adult Social Care sector over an extended period, making a lasting difference to the lives of the people they support. Through their dedication, professionalism, and leadership, they will have inspired colleagues, promoted excellence in care, and consistently upheld the highest standards of person-centred practice.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for an individual who:

Has demonstrated long-term dedication to working in Adult Social Care, with 20 or more years of service.
Has influenced, supported, and inspired others through their actions, acting as a role model, mentor, or champion for the sector.
Has consistently improved the lives, experiences, and outcomes of people who use services.
Has promoted dignity, independence, choice, and person-centred care throughout their career.
Embodies the core values of Adult Social Care: compassion, respect, integrity, and inclusion, and has demonstrated these values consistently throughout their career.
Is highly regarded by colleagues, partners, people who use services, and their families.

Eligibility Criteria

Has a minimum of 20 years' service within Adult Social Care.
Demonstrates a sustained commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support.
Has made a significant contribution to improving outcomes for people who use services
