Please Nominate GC Alumni!
Nominations are closed for the 2020 Alumni Awards. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the ceremony at The Graduate Center has been postponed to an undetermined date later this year. Stay tuned for an update. Any new nominations are welcome and will be considered for 2021. We appreciate your help recognizing exceptional Graduate Center alumni for consideration. Please nominate alums who have distinguished themselves in their careers (academic or non-academic).
Since 1961 more than 16,000 students have received advanced degrees from the Graduate Center. Our alumni have pursued distinguished careers and made outstanding contributions to New York City and beyond in numerous fields of endeavor. The Graduate Center celebrates our alumni with the following three awards:
Alumni Achievement Awards, recognize alumni of exceptional distinction who have made exemplary contributions to their field demonstrating outstanding dedication and achievement.
Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award, spotlights alumni who have graduated in the previous ten years and have already achieved notable success and distinction in their careers.
CUNY Award, in recognition of alumni who have devoted their professional careers teaching and working for the City University of New York.

Along with the name of your nominee, please provide a statement explaining why this person is deserving of an award. Recipients will be chosen by a committee of alumni from nominations submitted by all constituencies of the Graduate Center community, including students, faculty, and graduates, based on the information submitted with the nomination. Please include supporting materials that are as comprehensive as possible which may include nominee’s resume/cv and, if possible, letters of support.
