Drinking Water Distribution Operator Survey

The Waterboard is conducting a job analysis review that will be used to improve the drinking water distribution operator exams.  We need your input to develop an accurate description of the job performed by a certified water distribution operator.  As part of your response, please indicate your current Grade, (D1 - D5) and make ratings based on the job you perform (i.e., the job that reflects your Grade).  Your information will be kept confidential and will be pooled with data from other certified operators in California.   

 

You can earn four continuing education contact hours by completing this survey.

 

The survey is divided into three sections.

 

Background information

This section requests general information required for selected data comparisons.  The survey responses will be grouped by certification level, D1 - D5 so it is important that you indicate what level of certification you currently hold.

 

Task Statements

This section includes job tasks performed by a certified distribution operator on the job. Please rate each task statement according to how often it’s performed and how important the task is to the job.

 

Knowledge and Abilities

This section includes knowledge and abilities required to perform the job tasks.  Please rate the statements according to their importance and whether an individual is expected to possess the knowledge or ability upon entry to the job.
