Good conservation decisions are made with knowledge of the significance, history, past interventions and current conditions of cultural resources. This is collectively known in the conservation field as documentation and includes research in historical records, inventories, measurement and imaging tools as well as information management. ICCROM and the GCI held a series of courses on documentation (ARIS – Architectural Records, Inventories and Information Systems for Conservation) beginning in 2003 and concluding in 2009.

We are conducting the following assessment to determine the needs of conservation professionals and to gauge their interest in continuing these courses.

Your responses will greatly assist us in designing future courses and in focusing our efforts more effectively. We thank you in advance.

All responses will be anonymous.
