The Leesburg Area Chamber of Commerce annually recognizes individuals whose dedication, self-less service and commitment have made a difference in our community. The award categories are listed below along with a description of the contributions that and outstanding nominee would have given to the community.

Question Title

* 1. Business Woman of the Year Award: This is a woman that owns or is in a management position with a company that is a member for at least one year.

* 2. George O. Pringle Award: Presented annually at the Chamber’s Installation Awards Gala, this prestigious award is given to the Chamber member who has significantly contributed his or her efforts by volunteering many hours to the Chamber and Community’s needs with out reservation. These extraordinary community involvement hours generally involve interests and dedication in many areas rather than being focused in one particular area.

* 3. Arts/Cultural: An individual whose personal or professional talents/activities in the cultural art have been contributed to the enrichment of the Leesburg Area.

* 4. Education: An employed, elected or volunteer educator who has shown innovation and dedication to public or private schools in the Leesburg Area

* 5. Leadership: An individual whose guidance and leadership has impacted the Community.

* 6. Public Service: An outstanding elected or employed official of state, county or city government; or a volunteer who has made contributions toward improving Leesburg’s/Lake County’s quality of life.

* 7. Sports/Athletics: A person who has achieved in sports through performance or in promotion of athletic event in the Leesburg Area.

* 8. Humanitarian: An individual whose volunteer activities have improved the quality of life in the Leesburg Area.

* 9. Public Safety: An individual who has demonstrated superior performance in their career and shown a commitment to better Lake County through community involvement. This includes those persons in Leesburg/Lake County in the careers of law enforcement, fire, emergency medical services and emergency management.

* 10. Entrepreneur: A person who has possession over an enterprise and assumes significant accountability for the inherent risks and the outcome.

* 11. Ambassador: A person who serves as an Ambassador and gives  themselves wholeheartedly at every chance asked. Volunteers for every Chamber event and more.

* 12. Business Achievement Awards: Leaders from small, medium and large businesses whose achievements have aided the economic business climate of the Leesburg Area.
