Inclusive Play at CUNARD – Share Your Thoughts
Developed in partnership with Southwest Properties, CUNARD will be a high-quality, mixed-use project that will contribute to a total of 2 acres of exciting new public space, on and surrounding the site, on the Halifax Waterfront.

This project allows Develop Nova Scotia, the manager and steward of this publicly owned property, to create new and revitalized public spaces in that area for everyone to enjoy and experience.

Together, this new building and its surroundings will form a new destination on the southern waterfront.

CUNARD is located in Downtown Halifax, near the intersection of Lower Water Street and Morris Street, as shown below:

Question Title

The new public spaces around the building are shown below. We suggest that access to the water's edge could allow new unique 'play' opportunities that are not possible elsewhere.

Question Title

The team at Develop Nova Scotia would like your input on what the public spaces around the CUNARD site should become.

Guided by what we have heard through past public engagement, we are focusing on a theme of inclusive outdoor play. This means we are co-creating a playful space intended to accommodate people with disabilities and of all ages. CUNARD’s public space is intended to offer a range of physical activities, sensory experiences, and landscaping features and materials that will combine to make it fun for everyone.
