Devonport Show Day Public Holiday Survey 2019

The Devonport City Council is currently seeking input from the community regarding a shift of the public holiday from the last Friday in November – formerly Devonport Show Day – to an alternate day, given the Show no longer operates.

While the final decision will be made by the State Government, and Council has no power to determine the date, Council believes it is important that the community has some say in the decision-making process.

Please express your opinion by choosing between the five alternate suggestions contained in the survey below.

Make it the Thursday of Agfest (the first Thursday in May)

Choose a date between July and the end of September

Coincide it with the Friday of the Devonport Jazz Festival

Coincide with the Friday before the AFL Grand Final

Leave it as it currently is (i.e. the last Friday in November)
