Introduce a Girl to Engineering

The N.C. Department of Transportation and Women's Transportation Seminars (WTS) will host an "Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day" program for Wake/Johnston County sophomore, junior and senior high school girls interested in engineering or STEM on April 11th, 2019.
Participants gain exposure to engineering by creating interest with students wanting to pursue an engineering path plus promotes diversity and credibility of women and minorities in transportation and engineering. Students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on transportation related engineering activities and also participate in a question and answer session with female engineers from various disciplines.
Our program will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Joint Force Headquarters/Statewide Transportation Operations Center. Due to high security of this facility, all parties entering the gate to the facility must be listed on our roster for this program - including parents.
The deadline for completing registration plus the photo release form will be April 4, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
