Old Agoura Emergency Planning for Large Animals

The City of Agoura Hills would like to work with the Old Agoura community to develop a large animal response plan focused on emergency preparedness and response for horses and other large animals during disasters.

As part of this effort, the City is evaluating national models and discussing potential volunteer coordination, trainings, communication strategies, and staging areas that could help support emergency response efforts if resources become limited during a major incident.

Community input is an important part of this process. We invite Old Agoura residents, equestrians, and large animal owners to participate in the survey below to help guide future planning and engagement efforts.

Each household should have one person fill out this survey so that data is accurate.
1.Physical address in Old Agoura (optional but helpful). You may also just put the street name.
2.Do you own large animals?
3.If yes, what kind of large animals and how many? (For example, 1 horse and 1 alpaca)
4.Do you own a horse trailer (or other means of transporting animals)?
5.If a wildfire or other natural disaster breaks out, I know what to do and where to go.
6.I am interested in learning more about the following topics:
7.Would you be willing to learn more about volunteering during emergencies to assist large animals?
8.Email contact information to continue learning more about this effort (optional)
