We Are Now Accepting Applications for Our ENGL Cohort!

Elevate Omaha invites young adults aged 16-25 to join the Next Generation of Leaders (ENGL) Cohort 2, an exciting program focused on empowering future leaders. Young adults are often not taken seriously or recognized as the leaders they are, and Elevate Omaha is dedicated to changing that perception. Through ENGL, we develop leadership skills while fostering genuine relationships and creating a supportive, empowering community.

Applications are due by September 4 and applicants will be selected and notified by September 11.

Program Highlights

Leadership Growth: Engage in monthly meetings focused on a diverse range of impactful topics, such as Nebraska’s legislative sessions, mental health awareness, coalition building, professional development, and finance. These meetings occur on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, from September through May, from 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Community and Collaboration: Develop strong connections with peers through shared experiences and collective learning, fostering lifelong friendships and collaborations.

Impactful Projects: Participate in one of three key projects, amplifying your voice and skills:
  1. Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) on what are young adults looking for in leadership growth
  2. Engage in civic initiatives alongside community leaders.
  3. Help lead and communicate with other Cohort 2 Leaders, plan future meeting topics, and organize the graduation celebration
By participating in ENGL, you become part of a proactive community committed to making a positive impact in Omaha, while gaining invaluable skills that will serve you throughout your personal and professional life. Join us in shaping a future where young leaders are seen, heard, and valued.
