GEOTRACES is an international project that is creating a detailed baseline of the global distribution of trace elements and isotopes in the ocean. GEOTRACES released its first Intermediate Data Product at the Ocean Sciences meeting in February 2014 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. The purpose of this survey is to assess the processes used for this first release in order to improve the processes used in the next release, expected in 2017. The survey should only take about 5 minutes to complete.
