Suggest an ISHLT Advocacy Issue
ISHLT is seeking ideas for potential advocacy priorities and issues that may warrant the Society’s attention.
Proactive advocacy focuses on issues where ISHLT can use its multidisciplinary expertise, international reach, and collective voice to help influence policies, healthcare systems, professional practices, or other external factors that affect patients and professionals in advanced heart and lung disease, transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support.
This brief form is intended to gather foundational information to help the Advocacy Committee understand and evaluate potential issues. Suggestions may come from individual members, ISHLT groups, external partners, or other stakeholders.
Please provide as much information as you reasonably can. You are not expected to have complete information for every question. The ISHLT Advocacy Committee may conduct additional research or follow up as needed.
Submission of an issue does not indicate that ISHLT will pursue it. The Advocacy Committee will evaluate potential issues using the Society’s established Advocacy Decision Framework and applicable governance processes.
