Broadening Participation in STEM Through Mentoring: The National Alliance as a Model
David Goldberg, the Director of the National Alliance for Doctoral Studies in the Mathematical Sciences will be addressing the lack of participation by underrepresented groups in STEM professions. He will discuss the history, successes, and challenges of the Alliance, and what its future might hold. In addition, he will discuss scalability, as well as recent efforts to adapt some of the Alliance structures successfully to other STEM disciplines. We hope to have an open discussion of ways in which Ohio State faculty and administration can join and add to these efforts.
This event will be taking place on Tuesday, April 18th at 4pm in Cockins Hall Room 240.
