The Nexus Arts Residency aims to foster experimentation and creation in culturally diverse and intercultural artistic practice. This residency offers a co-collaborative residency and mentorship between an emerging artist and a mid-career artist and Nexus Arts.
The two selected performing artists will get 4 weeks access to Nexus Arts, to progress a new work each to a present at Adelaide Fringe 2026. This 2026 Arts Industry Collaboration project will provide 2 supported residencies, with recipients selected through a competitive, open-call application process.

The Cultivate x Nexus Residency will include:
• 4 week development residency in 2x 2-week blocks at Nexus Arts
• Pre-season Work in Progress Showing following the initial 2-week residency block (coordination and administration by Nexus Arts)
The residency includes funding:
Emerging artist grant - $4k + mentorship sessions (up to 6 sessions)
Mid- career artist grant - $7k ( will be required to also offer mentorship to other artist)
