InsurEXPO26
(September 17-18). Only IIANC members are eligible to submit nominations.

Independent Agent of the Year
This prestigious award honors a member of IIANC who has demonstrated exceptional service to the association and the independent agency system. To be considered for this award, the nominee must meet the following criteria:
Be a current agent member of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC)
Be a consistent supporter of iPAC and InsurPac
Be a regular participant in IIANC events and activities
Show active involvement in legislative efforts and events at both the state and national levels
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a commitment to supporting fellow independent agents
Champion ethical practices, and embody the highest ideals of the independent agency channel
Serve as a role model of professionalism in the insurance industry
Derive the primary source of income from work as an independent insurance agent
To submit your nomination, please include the nominee’s name, agency, and city, along with a brief explanation of why they are deserving of the Independent Agent of the Year Award.

Young Agent of the Year
This award recognizes a Young Agent member of IIANC who has made outstanding contributions to the insurance industry, their community, and the association. Nominees for this honor should embody the energy, professionalism, and leadership that represent the future of the independent agency system.
To be eligible for this award, the nominee must:
Be a current agent member of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC)
Be 41 years of age or younger as of August 31, 2026
Be an active participant in iLEAD and/or Young Agents programs
Demonstrate a strong record of service to the insurance industry, engagement with IIANC, and involvement in their local community

Company Professional of the Year
This award honors an insurance company representative who has made a significant and lasting contribution to IIANC and the independent agency system in North Carolina. The recipient exemplifies professionalism, leadership, and a strong commitment to supporting independent agents and the association.
To be eligible for this award, the nominee must:
Be employed by an organization that is a current IIANC PARTNER (

Be a consistent supporter and active participant in IIANC programs and events
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a commitment to serving the independent agency channel
Be a positive role model within the industry and exhibit the highest standards of professionalism
