Outline of the program

The WEST Mentoring Program helps mentees work toward their goals through dynamic non-traditional mentoring. This approach provides multiple perspectives, from mentors and peers, to deliver focused action plans. The 2022 Mentoring Program will be built on the theme of Transition, focusing on career transition in terms of seniority, industry or specialty area.

Description

The program includes a kickoff/training session for all (September 8, 2022) then five (5) sessions on 9/15, 10/6, 10/27, 11/17, 12/8, all sessions are 6-8pm via Zoom. Total interactive time commitment is 12 hours over 6 meetings. Additional details can be found here https://www.westorg.org/2022-mentoring-program

Each session will have a core pod meeting and a flex pod meeting. In the core pod, the general topic for the whole program will be set from the beginning and the same group will meet each session checking in a goal progress and needs. In the flex pod, mentors will address a topic with 1-3 mentees who choose that topic. Mentors and mentees will know ahead of the session what topics they were matched for.
