2026 Request for Proposals: Research Methods Webinar Series

SREE invites proposals for our Research Methods Webinar Series, designed to advance methodological knowledge and practice within the educational research community. Proposal Requirements
SREE members are encouraged to submit webinar proposals that include:
  • Webinar Topic, Title, and Summary: Please provide a concise summary (maximum 300 words) describing the research method to be presented and the specific skills or knowledge participants will gain.
  • Proposed Date: Please suggest 2-3 potential dates for your webinar.
  • Proposed Presenters: SREE is committed to diverse representation in terms of institutional affiliation, career stage, methodological expertise, gender, and race/ethnicity. Please describe how your speaker lineup reflects this commitment.

SREE's Responsibilities
Once your proposal is approved, SREE will provide the following support:
  • Honorarium: $500 stipend available for webinar presenters (total per webinar). Please note: SREE reserves the right to cancel a scheduled webinar if registration or revenue is insufficient to support the event. In such cases, presenters will be notified at least 48 hours in advance.
  • A detailed planning timeline
  • Technical platform (Zoom)
  • Comprehensive promotion across our channels
  • Registration management
  • Recording and archiving services
  • Technical support before and during your webinar
Facilitator Responsibilities
As the webinar facilitator, you will be responsible for:
  • Following the planning schedule and meeting all deadlines for materials submission.
  • Recruiting and confirming speakers, collecting their information (full name, current affiliation, bio link, headshot, social media handles), coordinating presentation content, and finalizing the slide deck.
  • Introducing the session and speakers, managing time, ensuring sufficient opportunity for Q&A, and facilitating audience engagement.
  • While SREE leads promotion efforts, webinars are most successful when co-promoted by presenters.
Submission Process and Deadlines

Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed regularly throughout the year. To ensure timely consideration, please submit by the following deadlines:

February 15, 2026 – Winter review (for spring webinars)
April 30, 2026 – Spring review (for summer webinars)
June 30, 2026 – Summer review (for fall webinars)

Proposals received after these dates will be reviewed in the next cycle. Proposals will be reviewed by a SREE committee of researchers.

Proposed Webinar Dates:
SREE strives to host at least one webinar per quarter, with approximately six-weeks of promotion beforehand. Webinars must have speakers confirmed before promotions can begin so we ask that webinar proposals are submitted at least two-months prior to the preferred dates.

  • SREE reserves the right to cancel a scheduled webinar due to insufficient registration or revenue. In such cases, you will be notified at least 48 hours in advance, and no honorarium will be issued for canceled webinars.
