In 2011, we received a BIG lottery grant from the Local Food Programme to deliver a new initiative - the Wiltshire & Swindon Food Champions project. Since this time, the project has successfully engaged disadvantaged communities in food growing projects and cookery clubs throughout the county. Having worked with families to establish 15 growing sites and over 60 orchards, made strong links with local Housing Associations, charities and agencies, our focus now is on addressing the significant need for improved nutrition and wellbeing amongst older communities.

Building upon the credibility of Food Champions, we will base activity at 12 community hubs, where older people living in social housing and those who live independently can come together. These hubs will be located alongside social housing sites and community centres. At each, we will deliver horticultural and nutritional advice though the establishment of gardens and cookery clubs. We would therefore welcome your views on this and would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to answer this short survey. Thank you
