Canadian Lavender Survey |
Introduction
October 29, 2014 - Canadian lavender producers are asked to participate in a confidential, anonymous on-line survey conducted by Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. This first ever Canadian lavender survey is available on-line on survey monkey.
This national lavender survey will assist government, researchers and industry in understanding the production needs and marketing trends of Canadian lavender across the country.
Barb Gillies, Chair of the Ontario Lavender Association, said "Vital lavender research is occurring in several locations across Canada. The desire to evaluate the state of the national lavender industry for purposes of improving Canadian lavender production and market potential is applaudable. I encourage lavender producers across the country to participate in this survey."
With increasing consumer support for the local movement, the lavender industry sees an opportunity to bring awareness to the Canadian public about local lavender products and lavender farms.
This survey is anonymous. A respondent’s location will only be collected to help determine lavender production across the country.
Data collection will continue until November 21, 2014.
