The Native CDFI Network (NCN) calls on all Native CDFIs and our Indian Country partners to sign on to NCN’s formal comment letter to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) regarding its proposed Uniform Guidance governing the financial assistance the federal government provides.
The most significant rewrite of federal grant rules in decades, this proposed rule extends to all agencies of the federal government and will have serious impacts on Tribal Nations and other Native entities (including Native CDFIs) that rely on federal funding in the form of grants, cooperative agreements, pass-through awards, and other forms of financial assistance. The proposed rule is currently set to be finalized and take effect on October 1, 2026.
