North County Transit - San Diego Railroad proposed modifications to Ordinance No. 3 during NCTD’s regular board meeting on October 22, 2026.
The proposed modification would allow NCTD to explore various special event trains that may incorporate alcoholic beverages and lights snacks across NCTD modes.
The purpose of these events would serve as an opportunity to increase awareness of station locations, nearby attractions and local businesses, while generating additional visibility and interest in NCTD services.
