A position on the Idaho Medical Association Board of Trustees, representing District Seven, is now up for election for a four-year term. Current District Seven Trustee, Brandon Mickelsen, DO has indicated his intention to seek re-election. Physicians who are interested in running may submit their names for nomination by using the survey link below.
The District Seven trustee represents all IMA physicians in Bannock, Bear Lake, Bingham, Caribou, Franklin, Oneida and Power counties. The IMA Board meets four (4) times per year. Two Board meetings are held in Boise, specifically, January 30, 2026, and May 8, 2026. The third meeting is part of a Board retreat July 17–19, 2026 held in Donnelly at the Tamarack Resort. The fourth meeting is during the IMA House of Delegates Annual Meeting October 1 and 4, 2026, in Sun Valley. All travel, hotel, and meal expenses in association with Board meetings are paid for and/or reimbursed per IMA policy. Spouses or guests are invited to participate in all social events included with Board meetings.
The IMA Board of Trustees takes action on all policies, regulations, and legislation affecting physicians, their practices, the profession, and healthcare delivery in our state. Our goal is to have the elected Trustee in place to attend the in-person IMA Board of Trustees meeting on January 30, 2026.
