How will the investment opportunity launches work?

This year’s Global Landscapes Forum will pioneer an innovative format for launching concrete investment opportunities at a high level. The development of this format goes back to requests made by individual and institutional investors following last year’s event.

The high-level launches provide a perfect opportunity to introduce initiatives ready for investments to an expert audience, international media and those following online from across the globe.

At the event, high-level launches will take place in two stages:

A plenary session set up in "dragon’s den" style will bring together leading thinkers from finance, the corporate sector and landscape research. Here, organizations behind the launch will have the opportunity to pitch their investment opportunity to the experts and receive immediate feedback.

After the pitches, organizers behind the launched initiatives will break out into separate rooms, where they can meet with interested investors and potential partners for focused discussions around the specific investment opportunity.

Event organizers will work closely with international media, such as Financial Times, The Economist, Thomson Reuters and others, that will be invited to cover the launches.

Who can launch investment opportunities?

In order to provide sufficient space to the indidivual initiatives, a maximum of four carefully selected opportunities will be launched at the Forum.

The Steering Committee will preselect and directly approach organizations interested in the launch.

Organizers aim at bringing together initiatives at different stages of development: from seed to early and later stage.

What is the process leading up to a pitch?

To ensure that all session participants as well as those following online are informed about session content, organizers ask hosts to prepare a short and concise white paper (3-10 pages) outlining the investment opportunity to be launched or pitched.
