Industry Cost Pressures Survey May 2026

The CEF has written to the Finance Minister seeking a discussion around potential supports for the industry as a result of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East and the impact this has had, and is continuing to have, on fuel and material costs. To add detail to this discussion, we are seeking member feedback on the following questions to inform our position.
.Name, name of company and email address
.In the current market how would you assess the impact of continued rising costs/inflation of fuel and materials on your ability to deliver your contracts/projects? (select only one)
.Comparing Q1 2026 and Q4 2025, by what percentage have you seen fuel costs increase?
.Comparing Q1 2026 and Q4 2025, by what percentage have you seen material costs increase? (taking a project as a whole)
.Considering specific materials, can you give examples of price increases (material and percentage) between Q4 2025 and Q1 2026?
.What impact have these increases had on your profit margins?
.What impact will these increases, and continuing uncertainty, have on your tender pricing over the coming months?
.Would you be in favour of a similar support scheme as that agreed in PAN 01/21 and the open book approach to potential claims?
.Please add any final comments you would like to make
