Inclusion: A Way of Being with Children & Families

Meeting at a Glance

Dear Friends and Partners,

Supporting Families Together Association is pleased to invite you to a YoungStar professional development opportunity for technical consultants and other community partners. This event was made possible by funding from the WI Department of Children and Families, Bureau of Quality Improvement.

What: Join us for a day of learning about resources and strategies to support early childhood professionals in meeting the needs of all children, especially children with special needs. Inclusion is more than a workshop, a book, a quick reference resource; it’s a way of being with children and their families. If you’ve ever seen a child in an early childhood setting who doesn’t seem to be getting the most out of their early childhood setting, then this workshop is for you. If you’ve ever seen an adult who means well but appears to struggle to meet the needs of children in their care, then this day is for you. If you’ve read everything that you can put your hands on to inform how you support children with special needs and you still have a hunger to learn more, then this workshop is for you. Come and learn about what you can add to your tool box to share with families, teachers, and caregivers who serve children with special needs. Mary Joslin will facilitate a day long workshop designed to help YoungStar consultants and other early childhood coaches and consultants who work in early learning settings to meaningfully engage children and the people who serve them more effectively.
