By submitting an application for a Hiwa-i-te-rangi Scholarship, you confirm that you are aware of the mana associated with it and accept the responsibility this confers on you. In the event of any action or conduct which in New Zealand Health Group's reasonable opinion reduces the mana of the scholarship, the applicant accepts that their name may subsequently be removed from the records of scholars. It follows that any association with New Zealand Health Group may cease.

By participating, applicants confirm that they are fully eligible to apply as per all eligibility requirements.

Unless otherwise stated, any individual entry is limited to 1 per person.

Only online applications will be accepted.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure that all parts of the application are checked, that relevant documents are attached and that the application is submitted by the closing date and time. Please attach scanned copies of all your qualifications, awards and honours received (include any Māori, Health and/or Community related awards). Confirmation of study and tuition fees must be attached in order for your application to go forward for assessment.

We encourage you to submit your application well before the closing date to allow for any last-minute IT or other issues to be addressed before the online process automatically shuts down. Once that happens, no further action can be taken.

All applications are reviewed by an Assessment Panel from the New Zealand Health Group

The Assessment Panel’s determination of the successful recipients will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

By participating, successful recipients are deemed to have accepted the Terms and Conditions, and grant New Zealand Health Group and its companies (Geneva Healthcare and HealthCare New Zealand) exclusive permission to use their names, photographs, videos, voices and likeness in connection with the promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes; and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.

The successful recipients will be notified by Wednesday 27 May 2020 by email, phone (voice or text), mail or in person and must be available for the preparation of all publicity that may be required by New Zealand Health Group and its companies (Geneva Healthcare and HealthCare New Zealand).

The scholarship amount is not transferable to other people or entities other than the successful recipient(s); and can only be used for expenses that are directly related to the recipient(s)’ education, such as tuition and fees, books, course materials, and related supplies.

New Zealand Health Group and its companies (Geneva Healthcare and HealthCare New Zealand) reserve the right to amend, vary or extend this application process at any stage, for any reason.
