JCPS invites school district stakeholders to cast one vote for the name of our second high school!

Funding Source: 2017 J+C Bond/Levy Campaign
Location: Highway 179 and Mission Drive
Expected Opening: August 2019
Over 1,200 name suggestions for the second high school were received via online submission. A committee, made up of students, staff members, parents and community members, looked at those suggestions and made a recommendation to the Jefferson City Public Schools Board of Education to put the following three names up for a community-wide vote:
  • Capital City High School
  • Mission High School
  • Stoneridge High School
This is Phase 1 in creating an identity for JCPS' second high school. The winning name will be revealed at the ground-breaking ceremony in Jan./Feb. 2018. Nominations for school mascot and colors will follow as Phase 2 in 2018.

The voting period will end on December 5, 2017.
