Without clear ownership information, organizations may face risk hidden exposures, compliance gaps, and misinformed decisions. Level 2 data in the Global LEI System helps market participants and other stakeholders better manage these risks by providing relationship data that supports transparency, due diligence, and a clearer understanding of how legal entities are connected.
The Regulatory Oversight Committee (ROC) and Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) are seeking feedback on Level 2 data to understand how it can better support your organization’s needs. Level 2 data is the relationship data collected, maintained and provided in the Global LEI System in accordance with the ROC's policies. This data includes:
1. Data on the “direct accounting consolidating parent” and “ultimate accounting consolidating parent” of an entity that requests or has an LEI.
2. Data on an investment fund that requests or has an LEI.
3. Data on an international/foreign branch that requests or has an LEI.
To make this data work better for you, we need your feedback! The survey offers you the opportunity to help the ROC and GLEIF ensure Level 2 data meets your needs. Your input will help inform potential proposals to enhance the coverage, quality, and usefulness of Level 2 data.
Confidentiality of personal information: Please know that, if you participate in this survey, your name, the name of your organization, and your email address will be kept confidential.
