The National Safe and Healthy Housing Coalition (NSHHC) will be hosting virtual visits with congressional offices on Capitol Hill on April 21 and 22, 2026. These visits offer both educational and networking opportunities for those interested in supporting healthy housing advocacy.
Hill visits are being scheduled and coordinated by the NSHHC and will be conducted over a virtual platform. Virtual attendees will be grouped with other attendees and given opportunities to meet with staff from the offices of their Senators and Representatives. Groups will be led by policy staff and coalition members who are experienced at conducting meetings on the Hill. Training and materials will be provided before the meetings and will cover how Hill meetings work, what to expect, how to talk about healthy homes issues, and asks and facts you can share with the offices.
No experience with advocacy or policymaker outreach is required to participate – all are welcome to join in the conversation about how to support healthy housing policy! Please note that participation in the Hill meetings does not necessarily include lobbying; if you have an organizational restriction on lobbying, we will ensure that your participation in the Hill meetings is strictly limited to policymaker education.
If you are interested in participating in these virtual Hill visits, please fill out the information below and we will reach out to you shortly! If you have any questions, please contact Anna Plankey at anna@nshhcoalition.org.
