United Way of Greater Newark is excited to launch The Accelerating Summer Learning Opportunities Mini-grant for program providers within the Newark Thrives! network. United Way of Greater Newark is committed to investing in out-of-school time (OST) program providers through a Newark Thrives! reinvestment fund for summer learning.
Guidelines For Mini-Grant Submission

1.) Be a member of the Newark Thrives! OST Network with a signed Impact Agreement, which is required for completion of the grant*.

2.) Program Information must be up to date in the program locator. Please contact Program Manager Shane Fuller at sfuller@uwnewark.org for access to updating information.

3.) Serve youth from the Greater Newark community in a 4 to 6-week summer learning experience.

4.) Be able to provide a final grant report that includes evaluation and assessment findings, testimonials, and images (photos, illustrations and/or sample student work) highlighting the summer learning experience.

Please be advised all grantees will be expected to submit a final grant report (2 pages max) that includes evaluation/assessment findings including but not limited to: data measuring impact, testimonials, photos, illustrations, and/or sample student work highlighting the summer learning experiences, etc. By submitting an application and final report, the organization grants UWGN/Newark Thrives! permission to share information on the grantees program in marketing material and on UWGN public platforms.
