WAM Member Grant Writing Workshop Application

With the announcement of a new Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries $1 million open access grants program for Western Australia’s contemporary music artists, as part of the state government’s Contemporary Music Fund, WAM have had a lot of enquiries about what the best tips are for writing grants. This free workshop will provide the practical knowledge and tools to improve your grant writing with top tips on how to best prepare your own grant applications.

Leading the workshop will be two grant writing gurus;

Georgia is a fundraising and development professional with ten years experience in the not-for-profit sector. Georgia’s big love is music. She is passionate about the local scene and has been a gig-goer all her life. Her love of live, local music started with Perth’s punk scene in the very early ’80s and, whilst moving through many different genres over the years, her love of live gigs has never waned. She has worked in a wide variety of industries over the years, which included a stint at ScreenWest. Here, her love of working with dynamic, passionate and creative people was born.

Mike has worked as a music journalist and editor since 1996, as well as having worked for various promoters, managers, media companies and artists over the years. Mike has played in bands with his two best mates since they were all kids, loves surf guitar, '77 Trans Am's and cats.
