About the iCAN Summit
What is the iCAN Summit?
The iCAN Summit is our annual international gathering that brings together kids and youth, clinicians, researchers, industry partners, and advocates from around the world.
The 2026 iCAN Summit will take place in Ireland from July 12 (check-in) to July 17 (check-out).
Summit Stipend:
If you are awarded a Summit Stipend, iCAN will cover:
- ✅ Summit registration
- ✅ Housing/accommodations
- ✅ Meals and food during the Summit
Requests for Travel Support (flights or ground transportation):
- Travel Support is not covered under the Summit stipend due to a limited budget. There is a separate application for travel support.*
- Apply Here for Travel Support
Merit-Based Scholarships:
There are also two additional $500 scholarships that are not based on financial need.
- These are applied for separately through the iCAN website.
- You can apply to the two merit-based scholarships even if you are awarded an iCAN Summit Stipend.
Deadlines:
Early Decision Deadline: March 20th**
Regular Decision Deadline: April 20th**
- You will be notified if you are awarded an iCAN stipend 5 days after the deadline.
Please note that you must let iCAN know if you are attending the Summit two weeks from the notice of the stipend award. After two weeks, funding will be redistributed to other applicants at iCAN's discretion.
*iCAN was able to raise $126k of our 200k goal. As a result, travel support has limited availability. If you/your family are able to travel to the Summit without financial assistance, we kindly ask that you consider doing so in order to ensure that travel support is available for those who need it most.
**If all available stipends/travel support requests are filled during the Early Decision cycle, space may not be available during Regular Decision. We encourage you to apply early for the best chance of consideration.
