Literacy Academy for Families, featuring Kareem Weaver from The Right to Read and Lori Josephson, author of Calling All Neurons! How Reading and Spelling Happen, is an exciting new addition to our annual Literacy Academy. Participants will learn practical strategies to support their child’s reading development at home, gain a clearer understanding of Ohio’s reading laws, and discover resources to help strengthen partnerships with their child’s school.

All parents/caregivers as well as people in roles who support families are encouraged to attend!

The day will conclude with a facilitated discussion and feedback session led by the Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.
