ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
-Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
-BScN preferred.
-BCLS certification.
-Current ACLS
-Current Certification in Venipuncture, arterial lines, care of the ventilated patient, Delegated Controlled Acts.
-2 years recent Level 111 critical care experience within the past 3 years.
-CNA certification in critical care preferred
-Demonstrated problem solving skills/critical thinking skills.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Knowledge of resource utilization initiatives
-Current working knowledge of CCIS
-Successful completion of the cardiac module of a recognized college/university critical care diploma course
-Member of RNAO preferred.
-Satisfactory attendance
