Project title: Factors Influencing Behavioural Intention to Play Massively Multiplayer Online Games
Researcher: Lee Ho

My name is Lee Ho. I am a student at the University of Auckland Business School enrolled for Master of Commerce degree in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management. I am conducting this research as part of my Master thesis on the factors that affect behavioural intention to play massively multiplayer online games.

The primary objective of my research is to find out the influential factors that motivate people to play massively multiplayer online games. You are invited to participate in my research and I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me. Upon the completion of the research you will be provided with the chance to enter into a free draw to win an Amazon gift card worth a value of USD100.00.

The research involves completing a questionnaire about massively multiplayer online games, which should take a maximum of 15 minutes. Additional information such as age, gender, occupation and academic background is also collected so that I can ascertain if your responses are influenced by these factors. You will not be asked to identify yourself; if you however, do decide to enter into the abovementioned free draw, you will have an option at the end of the questionnaire to provide your email address. The email address will be solely used for the purpose of conducting the prize draw and subsequently notifying the winner of the corresponding outcome.

Your participation in this research is voluntary and you are under no obligation to take part in it. You may choose to stop answering questions at any time, however your response is completely anonymous, so once you have completed the survey, there is no way to identify and withdraw your response.

The information I collect will be used in my MCom Thesis and may also be used for publication purposes. All information collected will be kept securely for up to six years, after which they will be destroyed. A copy of any publications results from this study will be made available to you upon request.
