Free Stage Entertainment Application Due Date: June 29, 2022

The Charlotte Black Pride (CBP) organization is thrilled to provide an opportunity for various types of talent to perform in front of a diverse audience including members of the LGBTQIA community. This performance will provide exposure and experience rather than a financial exchange. Please note the following:

1. The stage at the CBP Expo will be equipped with: CD/iPod players, a sound system, chairs and a stage crew. Performance times are on the hour and half hour. Sets are 15 minutes or 30 minutes with a 10 min set-up/5 min break down from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

*Please remember when planning your performance, that time and dressing room space is limited. The Expo committee will provide signage for your performance.

2. Due to the number of applications, final scheduling will be complete on the 1st of July. We will make every attempt to honor your performance preference.

3. If you are selected to perform, you will receive a confirmation email informing you of your performance time. At this point, you will need to send an email or letter confirming that you will perform. You are expected to arrive for sound check by 10:00 am on Saturday, July 23rd.

4. Please complete and return this entertainment application and a promotional packet to the CBP Expo Committee online or to the below address by June 29, 2022. Incomplete packets and packets submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

5. CBP Event policy prohibits performers from soliciting contributions from the audience; however, you are allowed to sell merchandise pertaining to your performance (CDs, DVDs or shirts) with a $25.00 donation toward the Entertainer’s Booth; no merchandise fee being paid back to CBP. You are allowed to sell during your performance and up to one hour after.
