CALL FOR CONFERENCE PRESENTATION PROPOSALS

The 19th Employment Supports Symposium will be held on May 22nd and 23rd at the Convene Cira Centre (2929 Arch Street, Mezzanine Level) in Philadelphia, PA; with the Pre-Conference occuring on May 21st, 2019 at Philadelphia DBHIDS Training Center (801 Market St., Philadelphia).
 
This year’s theme, “NOW is the Time to Make Employment Happen ~ALL ABOARD!~" is a call to action, in which we will reflect on the values, purposes, associated with the core of our employment efforts. 
 
This event will include employment best practices, innovative tools, strategies, tips, and techniques that will move employment forward in our region.  We will also emphasize current policies and trends that impact employment services in Philadelphia, the state of Pennsylvania, and beyond.  We invite and encourage a multi-experience and multi-support perspective to include mental health, intellectual disability, autism, developmental disability, physical disability, deafness, blindness, and more.

Share your knowledge and experiences by submitting a presentation proposal that relates (but is not limited) to the topical tracks listed below:

Track #1:  Building a Community of Believers - topics that stretch thinking, include creative use of resources, broaden involvement of stakeholders...
Track #2:  Promoting Employment 1st Ideals - topics that focus on Employment 1st concepts, share information on policy, collaboration...
Track #3:  Best Practices in Employment Supports - topics involving creative use of best practices, tried and true methods in employment...
Track #4:  Focus on Families and Supporters - topics including parents & supporters, important resources, key information for families & supporters, success stories...
Track #5:  Connecting with Employers - topics that share creativity in employer relations, success stories, partnerships...

If accepted, each presenter (and co-presenter if applicable) will receive one complimentary registration to the Symposium for the day of the accepted presentation.  Submissions are due by March 1st, 2019.  You will be notified of the status/acceptance on or after March 21st, 2019 via email.
