Description
WiTT has committed up to $15,000 annually toward the WiTT Childcare Grant. The grant is designed to support Middle Tennessee female parents or guardians pursuing a tech-related education or returning to the workforce in a tech-related position. Through this program, female parents or guardians may submit requests to fund childcare expenses of up to $3,750 at a Tennessee-licensed childcare agency, which will be reviewed by the WiTT Scholarship Committee quarterly. Grant also includes a 1-year membership with Women in Technology Tennessee.

Criteria
To be considered for the grant, applicants must be:
· A female parent or guardian pursuing education, career development, employment in the technology field in Middle Tennessee
· Child enrolled or to be enrolled in a childcare agency licensed with the state of (Tennessee Department of Human Services, TN - Find Child Care). If the school is not listed on the website, it will not be considered in the application pool. Please reach out with any questions on the criteria to scholarships@wittn.org.

Application Materials
Applicants will need to submit the following materials to be considered:

· A brief write-up (no more than 250 words) on the anticipated benefit, outcome, and impact the grant will have on your ability to pursue the educational program or employment opportunity.
· Please upload supporting documentation of the requested amount of the childcare cost.

To Apply
Please complete the application and upload the requested documents. The requests will be reviewed quarterly by the WiTT Scholarship Committee. The deadline for submitting materials for consideration is as follows:
· Q1 Deadline: March 31 (Awarded in April)
· Q2 Deadline: June 30 (Awarded in July)
· Q3 Deadline: September 30 (Awarded in October)
· Q4 Deadline: December 1 (Awarded in January)

Submissions received after a deadline will automatically be considered for the next round. Awards will be made based on a combination of fund availability and the Scholarship Committee’s assessment of the merit of the request. The amount of the grant awarded is at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee; the committee can choose to split up funding to support multiple qualified applicants per quarter. Grant recipients can have no more than one request funded per calendar year. Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously received funding through this grant program. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
