UK EO Awards 2026 - 'Employee Owned Transition of the Year' Nomination Form

This award showcases a business that’s transitioned business that have transitioned to employee ownership since 1 January 2025.

It aims to celebrate businesses that have taken a thoughtful approach to EO transition with clear motivations, goals, and considerations to ensure clear and effective communications and engagement of the team during and post transition, strong leadership, adopting an excellent governance approach, with key metrics measuring in the impact of their plan.

8.Explain how senior leaders were engaged in the transition plan, detailing any succession plans put in place, and how leaders were supported to build their knowledge to support the transition, their leaders, and the future business. (max. 250 words)
9.Describe any mechanisms, structures, and roles that were adopted to govern the business in the interests of employees, how the main board and any other governance interact, and how and where this is documented. (max. 250 words)
10.Explain and evidence how employees were informed and engaged – including key information or learning provided pre- and post-transition. Please include how and where you shared the news of the transition and how was it received (max. 250 words)
11.Explain what business insight, channels, and communication employees can access to share questions, ideas, issues, or opportunities. Please include how these are responded to and being used, and how this relates to employee wellbeing, motivation, and culture (max. 300 words)
12.Share any feedback, impact measures, or insights provided by employee owners or other stakeholders. This can include employee quotes, customer satisfaction metrics, positive operation impacts, new contracts secure, and any reputational benefits recognised since transition.
