CHW Definition: Community Health Workers (CHWs) are frontline public health workers who are trusted members of the community they serve. CHWs enable them to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary.
CHW Role: CHWs build individual and community capacity by increasing health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as community engagement, education, social support, and advocacy.

NOTE: To be considered for this opportunity, applicants are required to upload a short essay (750 words maximum). The essay answers the question, "What are your educational and/or career goals for the next five (5) years?" Application will be easier if you prepare your essay prior to beginning your application.
Once chosen, applicants must complete a pre-assessment with a passing score of 70% to begin the course.
