Blackbeard's Treasure Hunt

Captain Blackbeard has hidden his treasure somewhere inside Midsummer Place… and only the best pirates will be able to find it!

Answer every question correctly and you could be in with a chance of winning the treasure hidden inside the captain’s chest. The winner will be announced on the 2nd of June, so there’s plenty of time to follow the clues, solve the puzzles, and complete the treasure hunt.

Be warned… some clues can only be solved by visiting the locations around the centre, so keep your eyes open as you explore. If you get stuck, don’t worry, simply move on to the next clue and come back later.

Now… raise the sails, steady your compass, pick up a store guide, and begin the hunt for Blackbeard’s lost treasure.

To begin your quest across the deadliest seas, you must first find Blackbeard’s once-trusted first mate…

For he holds the first clue to Blackbeard’s hidden treasure. Legend says he remains chained in place, bound by iron, and reading his days away, where the ocean meets the rocks, and where water and stone become one.

It is said that as Blackbeard’s crew sailed deeper into unknown waters, they discovered a swarm of beautiful butterflies resting nearby. Legend warned that if the creatures were disturbed, they would rise into the skies and turn the ship’s sails into butterflies themselves…

Legend says the creatures gathered upon a great silver pillar, standing opposite a land famous for its mighty timber forests, rugged outdoor adventures, and sturdy boots worn by pirates and explorers alike.

After weeks at sea, Blackbeard’s crew became hungry and searched for a ship’s chef to feed the pirates aboard.

Legend says they discovered a baker who could turn sea salt and stardust into cinnamon-powered magic, twisting dough into golden treats fresh from the oven and covered in sweet toppings. The crew only ever knew the mysterious baker by his last name…

During their journey across the seas, Blackbeard and his crew were said to have encountered creatures of every kind…

But the beast that nearly destroyed their voyage was unlike any other. Legend says it waited high above the skies, silently watching below.

You would know the creature was nearby by the sound of ticking clocks, floating bubbles drifting through the air… and the occasional croak echoing from above.

After battling storms, sea beasts, and the curse of the deep, Blackbeard’s crew finally reached the resting place of the treasure. Hidden between two great trading posts, one owned by Luke, the other filled with the latest fashions and trends, the captain’s riches were sealed away behind glass.

Buried between these two traders, inside a store once said to be bluer than the sea itself, the treasure can finally be found. Count carefully and tell us…
