30 Days of Brightness
We are excited to share that our aspiration for this year's LBFE’s Holiday celebrations is for them to closely align with our mission to bring companionship and friendship to older adults and be more welcoming to our members from all communities!
What better time of year to celebrate 30 Days of Brightness than November 25th- December 25th, when volunteers connected with a special elder friend can reach out multiple times to share phone calls, small gifts, cards, etc. We all seek brightness in our lives; it provides comfort, warmth, the ability to see, and the energy to grow things and stave off loneliness.

It makes sense, then, that many holiday traditions include lights in their celebrations, and this is especially true in the fall and winter when there is less daylight.

Help us shape this special holiday tradition by sharing your ideas for bringing the joy of light and brightness to our LBFEMN friends. We are looking for your "bright ideas!" Everything from sending cards and treats, mailing small gifts, making extra phone calls, meeting outside with a cup of hot cocoa or soup (if you are vaccinated), meeting for lunch or dinner, or any special gesture that will put a bright sparkle in your member's eyes.
