Council has allocated funds to develop two youth play spaces.  One is proposed at Sedgewick Reserve in Currans Hill and one at Harrington Park Lake, Harrington Park.

  1. Sedgewick Reserve is located on Currans Hill Drive, Currans Hill.   There is an existing fenced playground and shade shelter.  A new self cleaning toilet facility is proposed to be included as part of the new youth play space and additional parking will also be considered.
  2. Harrington Park Lake is well suited to the development of a youth play space as it offers access to other recreation facilities such as the walkway around the lake, other play spaces and new outdoor fitness equipment which will be installed shortly to replace the existing ageing fitness equipment. A new self cleaning toilet facility is proposed to be included at this site also.

Council is seeking your feedback on the proposed youth play spaces by Tuesday 13 June as your feedback will be used to develop a draft design for each youth play space.

Council’s Vision for the youth play spaces is:

To create places that are designed with young people in mind that are interactive, inclusive, exciting, challenging and fun.  Places that inspire activity, movement, creativity, friendship and belonging.
