The Cyndi Bilyeu Memorial Leadership Scholarship, named in memory of Cyndi Bilyeu, who was a long-time member of our Northwest Arkansas Chapter as an Executive Director and CEO of local nonprofits in our region. She was a committed member of AFP and encouraged and inspired  leadership, continued professional development, mentorship and relationships in fundraising.

ELIGIBILITY
  • Applicant is an Executive Director or CEO of a 501(c)(3) organization in Northwest Arkansas.
  • Applicant is responsibilities include fundraising for their organization (at least 25% time).
  • Applicant is willing to serve on the Northwest Arkansas Education Summit committee for the biennial conference.
  • Serve as a Leadership Mentor through our Membership Mentorship Program.
This scholarship may be received once by an individual.
 
APPLICATION PROCESS
 
Once eligible, submit the completed application by August 31, 2022.  You will be notified by October 15, 2022 regarding the scholarship committee's decision.  
 
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
 
Recipient will be reimbursed $280 for the International dues for a professional membership. Recipient is responsible for the NWA Chapter dues of $35. Recipient must submit their application for the AFP NWA membership in the appropriate membership category.

I am a full-time Executive Director/CEO and spend at least 25% of my time fundraising on behalf of a non-profit organization. I understand that if I receive this scholarship, I am expected to attend education session (3rd Wednesday of January, February, March, April, May, June, August, September, October).  Recipient or recipient's agency is responsible for education session fee of $15/per meeting-  this includes seminar, lunch and applicable materials.
