To assist Bethel School District in summer program planning, please respond to the following items.  Please note that each program is designed for students who will be in specific grade levels in the 2021-22 school year.

* 1. "Our Water - Our Lives" Camp (for Grades 1-5) 
Tentative Dates/Time: July 26-Aug 19, 9-12p

Why is earth called the 'blue planet'?  Earth is the only planet in our known solar system with water and life nourished by water.  Learn more about water, why water is so important to animals, and how to be a water protector.  

Grade level project-based camps will include:
-Fun!
-Art (visual and performance)
-Environmental Science
-English Language Arts (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
-Social Studies
-Technology skill building

* 2. Lane Arts Council Camp (for Grades 1-3)

Ready to tap into your creativity? Then this camp is for you! We will have lots of fun as we explore the world of performance and visual art.

* 3. Lego Robots (for Grades 4-5) 
Tentative Dates/Time: July 26-Aug 19, 12:30-3:30pm

Join us for an afternoon of gigabots (Lego robots) and being an entrepreneur.  During this camp, you’ll get to build a robot, program a robot, and invent something on your own!

Did you know that Bethel School District has its very own working farm? Sign up for one of our Farm Camps to learn all about it! Students will learn about planting and harvesting and have a chance to visit and learn all about the Farm’s chickens, compost worms, and honey bees. Students will create fun farm crafts and get a chance to help cook and eat some food right off the farm.

* 5. Movement Camp (for Grades 1-3)

Let’s get moving! We are going to have so much fun playing games, trying new activities, and learning new skills. Every day will be filled with movement and fun. Friday will be a water day—get ready to toss some water balloons!!

* 6. Skateboarding Camp (for Grades 4-6)
Tentative Dates/Time: July 25 to Aug 27, time TBD

Do you want to learn some skateboarding skills?  Come join us at Skateboard Camp!  We will spend some of our time learning about how to ride a skateboard and then we will get busy playing games! Each week of camp will culminate with a water day on Friday. All materials will be provided, including safety gear and skateboards.

* 7. Band Camp (for Grades 6-8)
Tentative Dates/Time:  Aug 16 - 27, 9-12p

Calling all middle school band students! Come join us for a two-week camp to dust off your instrument and get ready for the next school year. This camp will be held at Willamette High School and will be taught by Bethel teachers as well professional musicians from our area. Students of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Do you have a song to sing? Then come join choir camp! This camp will be held at Willamette High School and taught by our very own Bethel choir teachers. Students of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Have you ever wanted to build your own robot and learn how to program it? If so, this camp is for you. Students will create robots using VEX robot kits, a programmable, snap-together, robotics system. They will watch computer code come alive on a physical robot and learn key STEM skills that easily transition into the real world. Hands-on, minds-on!

Have you ever wondered how to take your idea to the next level?  Join us for an invention experience where you’ll learn how to design, program, and create your own invention from start to finish.

Tentative Dates/Time: July 26th - August 19th (M-Th), 1 - 4 pm 

Have you ever wanted to design a t-shirt or sticker?  Build a birdhouse? Create a digital story with clay?  Or sew your favorite jeans into a bag?  Then come join us for four weeks of using hi-tech equipment to create something all on your own.
