Friday, October 2nd, 4 PM through Sunday, October 4th, 1 PM Retreat
This is the 10th annual weavers' event. This basket weavers' retreat brings together master weavers to share and learn. This event focuses on soul sustenance through healthy, ancestral lifeway practices. This is a tribally-focused intergenerational, family, and youth environment.
Bring your projects and come weave or start a new project. Master weavers will give presentations, and we will harvest and process materials. All meals are provided. Limited materials will be provided. Limited gas cards will also be made available.
Wear layered clothing for varying weather conditions. Bring your water bottle, lawn chair, harvesting and processing tools, and a happy heart! If you plan on camping, please bring your tent, bedding, and personal hygiene items. This retreat is for Indigenous Tribal community members aged 12 or older who are connected to our local Tribal communities and have a vested interest in expanding their year-round basketry commitment. All minors need to be accompanied by an adult. Registration is due by Monday, September 29th, 5 PM.
